Lying on my right is a bit tricky bc Im used to only lying on my left . I think I tried it once and it was very uncomfortable.Once I fully recover from the C section and can bend again I'll try your floor suggestion, but I still need to get her from where she is to the floor=) once she's on her changing table, I'm ok to clean her and partially undress her, Im just afraid to do more because I'm afraid the changing table will move or fall...it sits on top of her dresser, but I think its the fear stopping me rather than an actual inabilityAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00388055677412242283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6561150648504133346.post-61687688216326580492012-01-26T08:36:48.247-08:002012-01-26T08:36:48.247-08:00I love your determine to nurse her--giving her tru...I love your determine to nurse her--giving her truly the best, rather than a poor substitute...

I'm a dancer, and I teach dance to people with a variety of special needs (Changeling Dance Theatre) so I like to think about how to adapt movement individually... I hope you don't mind. I'm thinking you might be able to nurse on that tricky side laying down, perhaps on a blanket on the floor so that you don't have to worry about falls. Same as changing and general baby care--my babies were always happy with a little freedom on a clean blanket on the floor, and I often nursed laying down, just because it was so comfortable. (Same with bathing--why use a tub of water, when she would be just as clean with a wipedown with a washcloth?) So, my creative thinking is, why not try a lot of floor time on a soft blanket, so that you are "freer" and don't need to lift her?

Also, thank you for posting to the Dandy Walker list, because my daughter is 17 and glad to hear of your news. She wonders sometimes if she will be able to have children. A c...chayale, she is lucky to have you as a mother.
A child only needs love and more love. And that is what you give best. Right now you feel bad you can't physically take care of her but that is really only for your satisfaction. She has your heart and that is best of all. I have so much nachas reading your blog and seeing the pictures. you are wonderful beyond words.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09974094017303381912noreply@blogger.com
